Getting Started
Download & Create an Account
Download PawStory, create an account with your email, complete the steps in the verification email, then log in.
Create a Pet Profile
Add a name, breed, birthday, adoption date, photo, and other basic details — you can edit these anytime later.
The Five Main Tabs
The five bottom tabs are Today, Care, Health, Story, and More — for today's status, care records, health data, the story timeline, and other tools.
Managing Multiple Pets
The free plan supports 1 pet in daily care; Premium supports up to 5. When your account has more than 1 pet in daily care, Today shows a multi-pet overview.

Daily Care Logging
A few minutes a day to log feeding, water, litter box, and medication
Feeding & Water Logs
Select a pet, then log amount, time, and notes. Each save creates its own record, so you can log multiple times a day.
Medication
First add the medication and dosing schedule under Health → Medication, then mark each dose as given.
Litter Box Records
Log frequency and condition. No record in 24+ hours shows an orange alert; over 48 hours shows a red alert.
Today's Care Progress
Today's progress is calculated across 4 categories — feeding, water, litter box, medication — for a max of 4/4; even with multiple medications on the same day, medication still only counts as one category.

Generate a care handover note in one tap — no lost caregivers
Pull each pet's feeding, medication, notes, and contact information into a read-only link to share with family or caregivers.

How to Create a Care Handover Note
Today → Life Management → Care Handover, select a pet, fill in and confirm the care schedule, notes, and emergency contact info, set an expiration, and your handover link is ready.
How the Share Link Works
Caregivers don't need to download the app — the handover link expires automatically once it reaches its set duration.
Vet Visits: Organize Recent Records in One Tap
Health → Health Log → Vet Summary, choose the last 3, 7, 14, or 30 days. The summary only organizes what you've entered — PawStory doesn't provide diagnostic advice.
How to Add a Vet Visit
Health → Health Management → Vet Visits → Add Vet Visit Record, log the reason, clinic, diagnosis, next follow-up, and cost, so it's all there for your next visit.
Pet Care Contacts
Keep your regular vet, groomer, boarding, and other contacts in one place; pin your regular contacts and call or open maps in one tap.

Health Records
Weight Records & Trends
Log weight regularly and review historical trends; Health Trends also shows water intake and medication completion.
Body Measurements
Today → Life Management → Body Measurements to log neck, chest, and body length; both Body Measurements and the pet home show the latest measurements and recent changes.
Vaccination & Deworming Records
Log vaccination and deworming dates, and view "Upcoming / Past Records" in the app.
Health Notes: Jot Down Symptoms Anytime
Note down observations on energy, appetite, skin, and more — view them alongside other health records at your next visit.
Expense Records
Today → Life Management → Add Expense / Expense Records, log the amount, category, and date, then view your expense list and statistics.

Story Timeline
Everyday notes, photo memories, and milestones are organized by date, slowly becoming their story.
Write a Journal Entry
Story → Write to Them, choose the pet, entry type, mood, and date. Write text, add a photo, up to 5,000 characters.
Photo Memories
Choose "Photo Memory" and add a photo — once saved, it appears on the story timeline by date.
Milestones
"Milestones" lets you choose from firsts, birthdays, anniversaries, or other — so the days worth remembering stay organized separately.
Quickly Find a Record
Filter by pet, entry type, or milestone to quickly find the memory you want to revisit.

Memory Space
When the day comes to say goodbye, their care records, photos, and stories don't disappear — they stay quietly in memory space.
Memory Space & Saved Pets
Pets who've crossed the rainbow bridge can be moved to "Memory Space"; pets who are rehomed or transferred can be moved to "Saved Pets."
Letters to Them
In memory space, you can write letters to them to continue your story together; each letter can be viewed, edited, or deleted.
The "Farewell Letter"
Keep the words you didn't get to say, your thanks, and your final wishes, safely held.

Paw Points & Achievement Badges
Check your unlock progress under "Care Achievements" in the pet home.
How to Earn Paw Points
Feeding, water, litter box, medication, and adding a story each earn 1 paw point; the same pet, same category, same day only counts once, up to 5 paw points per pet per day. The first "Letter to Them" added each day in memory space earns 1 paw point.

Sending Gifts in the "Pet Home"
In the pet home, use paw points to send small gifts, including treats, flowers, toys, a small cake, and gift boxes.

In memory space, use paw points to send gifts, including flower bouquets, candles, incense, a blessing, or a scroll of scripture.
Companion Wheel
Open the "Companion Wheel" in the pet home and give it a spin for a small suggestion.

Account & Settings
Reset Password
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen, enter your account email, open the reset link in the email, set a new password, then log in.
Subscription Plans
The free plan supports up to 1 pet with limited photo storage; Premium supports up to 5 pets with more photo storage. Prices are as shown on the App Store / Google Play.
Log Out
To log out, tap "More" at the bottom of the app, then "Settings," then choose "Log Out."
Request Account Deletion
Go to More → Data & Privacy → Request Account Deletion. If you still have an active subscription, please cancel it via the App Store or Google Play first.
