Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the PawStory app or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to any part of these terms, please stop using our Service.

These Terms are an agreement between PawStory ("we") and you (the "User").

2. Description of Service

PawStory is a pet care journaling app that provides the following core features:

• Daily pet care records (feeding, water, toilet, medication)
• Photo uploads and a story timeline
• Generating and sharing a care handover note
• Health records
• Expense records
• Pet care contacts
• Memory space / saved pets
• Paw points and achievement badges
• Companion wheel (陪伴小轉盤)

We reserve the right to add, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time, and will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice of material changes.

3. Account and Security

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• If you discover unauthorized use of your account, please contact us immediately
• Each user may create only one account
• Accounts may not be transferred to another person

4. Free and Premium Versions

PawStory offers a free version and a paid Premium version. The features, limits, pricing, and billing cycle available in each version are as shown in the app and at checkout in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

We may adjust the features, limits, or pricing of the free and Premium versions from time to time. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users via in-app notice, the website, or other appropriate means.

5. User Content

You may upload or enter photos, journal entries, care records, health records, expense records, and other content on PawStory. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use, upload, store, and share such content, and you are responsible for the content you provide.

To provide the PawStory Service, you grant us permission to process your content as necessary, for example to store, back up, sync, display, generate the care handover note, provide customer support, maintain service security, and troubleshoot technical issues.

• We do not use your content for advertising, AI training, or any purpose unrelated to providing the PawStory Service
• After you delete content, we will delete or anonymize it according to our system process. Some data may be retained for a limited period for technical backup, security, anti-abuse, dispute-resolution, or legal reasons
• You may not upload content that infringes another person's copyright, trademark, image rights, privacy, or other rights

6. Prohibited Conduct

When using PawStory, you must not:

• Upload any unlawful, harmful, hateful, or offensive content
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the normal operation of the Service
• Use automated tools to bulk-scrape or access content from the Service
• Impersonate another person or create a fake account
• Use the Service for commercial purposes (except B2B partnerships, which require a separate agreement)
• Violate any applicable law or regulation

Violating the above may result in immediate account termination, and in serious cases we reserve the right to pursue legal action.

7. Care Handover Note

The read-only link you generate contains your pet's care information. Please choose who you share it with carefully. The link has an expiration period, as shown in the app when you create the link, and it automatically expires afterward. We are not responsible for any loss resulting from the link being obtained by an unauthorized party.

8. Service Interruption and Disclaimer

We work to keep the Service stable, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not responsible for the following:

• Service unavailability caused by third-party service outages
• The user's own network issues
• Service interruptions caused by force majeure (natural disasters, government orders, etc.)
• Data issues caused by a user not following instructions for use

9. Subscriptions, Refunds, and Cancellation

Premium subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Actual prices, billing cycles, and trial or promotional terms (if applicable) are as shown in the app and at checkout in the Apple App Store or Google Play.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings before the end of the current billing period.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. After cancelling, you can continue to use Premium features until the end of the current billing period.
• Refund requests should be submitted directly to the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to each platform's refund policy.

If you have a billing dispute, please contact us and we will do our best to help.

10. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time by going to More → Data & Privacy → Delete Account → Request Account Deletion within the app. You can also submit a request through our account deletion page or by email. After deletion:

• We will delete or anonymize your account and related data according to our account deletion process. Some data may be retained for a limited period for legal, financial, security, anti-abuse, dispute-resolution, audit, or technical backup reasons
• Premium subscriptions are not automatically refunded; please cancel your subscription before deleting your account

We also reserve the right to terminate an account if a user violates these Terms of Service, and will give advance notice where feasible.

11. Governing Law

These Terms do not affect any non-excludable consumer rights you have under the law of your jurisdiction. If any part of these Terms conflicts with a mandatory provision of applicable law, that part will be adjusted to the minimum extent required by law, and the remaining terms will remain in effect.
